Wizard will not open

Post by Extreme Industrial »

Is there a file that I can pull that has all the saved wizard info on it instead of doing screen shots? The machine is running fine, but need to add a component, but the wizard will not open. I can pull most of the info off from the Intercon config program and a report, but not all of it. I don't believe I can just reinstall just the Wizard, so I will have to reinstall everything. I have tried multiple ways to try and open the wizard as will with no luck also.

sounds like you need to reinstall the wizard..so to do that and not lose your settings...

1.) make a report.zip file from the util menu. save it to safe place.

2.) Copy your existing CNCM/CNCT directories and rename them. CNCM-xxx CNCT-xxx (where xx is the version number or any name)

3.) Un-install CNCM/CNCT using Windows 10 Add Remove programs screen

4.) Delete left over directories (CNCM/CNCT) in C:

5.) reinstall the same version of CNC12 that you were using.

6.) close wizard when it opens automatically. open cnc12, ignore any error messages, go to util menu click on "restore report" and follow instructions on screen navigate to the report file you want to restore to and then the instructions to restart.

now CNC12 is configured exactly the way you had it when you made the report.zip file
and now the wizard will start and you can go use it to make any further changes to the setup.

note: "restore report" only works with a report file from the same version of CNC12. its designed to easily backup and restore all the machine specific settings , macros and PLC program in one easy keystroke. so once you get CNC12 configured the way you like.. make a report.zip file and save it in a safe location..like another computer..so if you ever have to reinstall CNC12 for any reason, its super quick and easy to get the machine back up and running.
