Thanks, Milton...appreciate it! Do you know if both LEDs normally are on?

Okay, I figured it out, I think.

I had to disable the brake and now it seems to be working. After reading the manual, I learned a few things. Seems the LED on the reversing board lights up when the brake is active. The LED on the main board lights up when current limiting is in effect. I think.

Well, now to try and see if it will actually spin the motor...

Quick update...the motor runs! So far, I haven't gotten around to figuring out how to make it brake/reverse...forward only for now. I am confused about how the VCP spindle control works and M03/M05 etc. I see some reading of the manual in my future. I then needed to access the Wizard to make some changes and ran into some sort of glitch with that, posted in a separate thread. At least it's working so far!

OK Scot, here's the schematic and I just finished testing it on my mill project in a temporary lash-up. I connected the used KBCC-125R, a KBSI-240D & a treadmill motor to the Acorn's 2 relays it works great. I used the manual/auto switch option as well since it comes in handy on occasion. I'm no electronics whiz so just be careful and use at your own risk. It works well for me. :D

Thanks, Milton...that’s awesome! It makes sense to me and is nicely drawn up. If I had to make a drawing, it would be a hand scribbled mess.

Thanks. As you can see I grabbed bits & pieces from the manuals & connected the dots using CAD. I hope it works good for you as well. :)

Hey Scot, I remember you said the KBCC was bigger than you expected and that you had a space problem. This is the electrical box I use to put mine in. Got it at Home Depot for 20 bucks or so. My 1st KBCC was a newer model & fit perfectly. The 2nd, older one is a bit taller & I'll have to make some spacers to go under the lid to space it out some. It has standard issue knock-outs which makes it easy to bring power in & out safely. Ignore the tie wraps in the pic...part of temporary lash up to make sure the schematic worked OK. HTH :)

Thanks, Milton! I haven’t had much luck with finding enclosures at Home Depot but I was looking for bigger ones. Perhaps I can find one like yours.

Question...the green earth wire coming in to the box...is it supposed to be connected to the ground terminal on the controller? That’s the one on the far (opposite) end. Also, is it a good idea to connect that ground wire to the bed of the lathe?

The hookup shown in the picture was just temporary for testing the schematic. Since I don't have room for the KBCC in my main control cabinet, (24" x 24" Hoffman) the box pictured will bolt to the back of it. When it's mounted in it's permanent location, all grounds will terminated at a single grounding stud inside the main cabinet. I think the guys whut know this here electrickery call it a "star" ground. It's worked fine for a couple years now on the ORAC so I guess it's OK.

Ah, yes...I recall seeing Marty mentioned that in one of his videos. Thanks for reminding me!
