Milling / Lathe Retrofit - all new motors and control - Looking for help

Post by Mypack »

We do have a stock of machines equipped with DC Motors and in-house old control. We need help for the retrofit project.
The machine is an outstanding piece of high precision, made in Switzerland, we mill/lathe the printing cylinders (before engraving and then Chroming and going inside the printing machines), for packaging print or previously magazines...
We need help in sourcing the motors, controllers, programing, the whole project for the retrofit, on a limited budget at start.
The components:
Carriage motor (In need)- Cylinder rotation motor (in need)- Milling head spindle positionning motor (in need) with Heidenhain ruler at the micron - Milling spindle motor (available) - Pump for water pressure as the spindle is hydraulic without bearings (available) - Circulating pump (avail.)- Vacuum chips suction unit (avail) - table positionning motor (avail)with distance feed - 5 hydraulic /air valves - 2 temperature sensors - 1 another special hydraulic clamping valve - 3 accumulators with air pressure - 3 filters and control -
The machine measures the cylinder diameter, a max chips depth controls the number of cuts necessary to rough cut or fine cut the printing cylinder. final diameter at the micron...
The carriage has a home position and goes to cylinder start from input and returns to cylinder start for next cut, it is a cnc with minimal input and function.
Having just discovered this Forum, we look for possible help in this retrofit projects.

That is not much info...

To use Heidenhain scales with Centroid you will need a converter to RS422
