E-stop will not work using N C switch < resolved, select switch type> >

I have a N C switch in the E-stop leg of the controller configuration. I have ohmed the switch and it is functioning as a N C. When the switch is not engaged (closed) the controller acts like it is open. If I engage the switch (open it) the controller allows a reset and functions normally. The only way I can proceed without the problem from this open/close malfunction is to remove the switch and keep the circuit open. I just completed the install, a successful bench test, and everything checks fine, but this issue seems to be requiring a normally open switch. Is there something that I could have wired wrong that would be causing this?

You must set in the Wizard if e-stop is NC or NO.

Thanks, but I looked have looked in every topic in the submenu of the wizard and I must be overlooking it. Do not see it.

Go to the input assignment page and click on the green circle next to your EStopOk input. It should turn red indicating that it will function as NO.

ACORN will have 8 inputs here but the picture should help you get to the right place.

E stop is input 8 by default, there you can switch the button from red to green.

GOT IT! I just didn't understand what the manual was telling me about PLC. Got it now. My brain is like a steel trap... hard to get it open, but keeps what it closes on! But that's what 75 years will do for you..😂😂
