GS2 VFD problem

Post by pescadoman »

I swear, I wired it up EXACTLY like the GS20 schematic says...yes, I know it's obsolete. It worked...kind of, by forcing(before I followed the schematics) the relays..it never worked with the VCP. Everything I seem to do turns to poison...

The report shows that VFDEnable and VFDDirection outputs are forced off.

review the plc diagnostic menu instructions, sounds like you forced them off and didn't put them back to normal state.

That was exactly the problem...thank you. NOW, while I can jog both axis and get the spindle running, it won't run any lines... I get a communications error IIRC.

you have to calibrate the vfd to match the commanded.
