Y1A and Y1B will not show continuity with the power off those are the NO contacts. Y1B and Y1C are the NC contacts and should show continuity with the power if it is a dry contact relay.

Tom

So just to make sure I should have the cord plugged into the receptacle and power flowing, just in an "off" state to test the Y1B and Y1C?

Im going to run to harbor freight and get a multimeter. This basic one doesnt have a continuity tester. I thought I could get away with the one setting to see if the circuit can flow voltage but maybe thats not good enough. I will report back in about 30-40 minutes

You will not measure any voltage on relay contacts unless you have voltage applied to the contacts themselves. What exactly are you checking continuity with? Even a "basic" multimeter should have a resistance range. With power off to the VFD, checking between Y1B and Y1C should show low resistance (<5ohms).

Relay #2 is normally open between Y2A and Y2B. There is no Y3 in either the terminal listing in the manual or the photo above.
Apologies I mean I tested Y1A and Y1B and it didnt show continuity, do I need power connected to the CNC control box just powered off? Because I removed the plug from the power receptacle.. I just like to be safe when working around electricity lol
Tom said to test Y1B and Y1C with power off.....
Now that I re-read the photo from the manual, I tend to agree with him.

I just had a basic multimeter so I went and bought one with an audible alarm. there is no continuity between Y1A to Y1B nor is there Continuity between Y1A to Y1C.

With the power off I DO have continuity from Y1B to Y1C

Exactly as described in the manual. Y1B-Y1A = N.O.; Y1B-Y1C = N.C. There will NEVER be a connection between Y1A and Y1C.

Thanks Tom, Sorry for my inexperience, but does that mean the SPINDLE OK should be Y1A?

and then Y1B would be its ground?

I feel like im almost done its just these are getting very difficult because if you look at the leadshine schematic it says the Spindle OK is "Fault NC" and connects to H1 bank IN5 port. Then it says the FAULT COM goes to the 3rd "COM" port in the H9 bank. However, when you get into the LEADSHINE Schematic it says that very same 3rd COM port from the H9 bank goes directly to the Meanwell power supply. Confusing to say the least. Maybe im overcomplicating shiz

In this case, it doesn't matter. It's just a switch.

Ok great. Are there any good write ups on how to configure your spindle? I have the specs from my cnc manufacturer but I can't really figure out what I need to put in the wizard. If you know any good posts on here, or videos Id be more than happy to check them out.

Was this a functional machine before?
Do you know what the max RPM was in the last control?
If so, you enter that RPM in the SPINDLE TAB in the Wizard. High range.
