Re: Acorn CNC12 v4.80 has been released. (8-12-22)
I have been able to replicate this problem on a different PC and Acorn board.
Under CNC12-4.62 everything works (I only have the Z-drive connected, but it spins when I click on Z+)
I made copies of all my Wizard screens and saved them. I renamed the old CNCT directory to CNCT-4.64 and downloaded the newest installer and installed CNC12-4.80. I get the same result - no movement on my drive motor.
Both Report.zips are attached.
Thanks for any help.
Gary

Re: Acorn CNC12 v4.80 has been released. (8-12-22)
doesn't look like they are set up the same...one report has limits and home input defined and the other doesn't
try this, with a good working 4.6X report on the desktop
run the v4.80 installer.
start 4.80
go to utility menu. click restore report, navigate to the known good v4.6x report.zip
follow instructions
go to Wizard, click "update Wizard" , press Write settings to CNC control" follow instructions on screen.

Limits set to zero are ignored by the control.
Cheers,
Tom

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

Re: Acorn CNC12 v4.80 has been released. (8-12-22)
Keith,
That worked on both systems.
I should have been a little more specific earlier, no both systems are not set up the same. The second one is a work in progress.
But both are running CNC12-4.80 correctly now.
THANKS for your help!!
Gary

Keith,
I'm sorry, I thought I answered your question.
First thing is that everything is working great now!
The only thing I could see that was messed up was the connection settings. I use the DB25 pin breakout and I found it was set to Screw Terminals. Once I got that all sync'd up, life was good.

Is this V4.80 final or still technically a beta version.
