I'm Back.......

Wow these hurricanes are way too much work. I ended up losing a fence, a few trees, plants, and shrubs and had no power for about a week. Other than some other small damages everything is ok. Especially my ACORN! ;)

Since then, I have manages to get the X and Y Limit and home switches mounted up and adjusted with the software travel limits set. Now I can jog the machine around and the table stops just before reaching their limits.

The Machine homes in X and Y at the initial start up screen and I can also hit the "reset home" switch on the virtual control panel to re-establish home if the need ever arises.

It won't home the individual axes under the f3(find home) screen. I am guessing the acorn doesn't support this.

Curious to learn what F3 find home does if it doesn't home an axis?

We have a new version of acorn software coming out in a few days and there will no longer be an F3 home button in this new version ..fyi it's a leftover button from our closed loop Servo that we forgot to to eliminate in the Acorn cnc12 release. I'll make a software release announcement as soon as it's available along with update instructions. We have added lead screw compensation, and BCD tool changer output and a whole bunch of other little things with this upcoming release. The new release will of course be free of charge and available to everyone.

Oh man, I almost pulled all my hair out trying to figure out what I was doing wrong

I hope I didn't throw the acorn or anyone under the bus with my post. It seems I have a knack for finding these things out. I tend to dive into something and figure it out from soup to nuts. It's just the way I like to learn and become proficient in something. I think I would have enjoyed beta testing one.

On another note, I am really happy I went with the Acorn. I'm just finishing up my conversion and will post some videos of it running in my other thread.
