Maybe this? https://www.utex.com/webapps/utexhome.n ... D3458?Open

You'd probably be better off in the long run just replacing the motors with something more current.
Cheers,

Tom

Well, no Acorn only outputs step and direction.
You may as well upgrade to new stepper drivers and stepper motors.

I would like to reuse the motors if possible. Below are the motor specs. It is a Nema 23, 2 phase Hyrbrid Stepper Motor. Would this be considered a "standard" stepper motor?
. .
.
Would these motor drivers work with the existing motors..
.
I asked the seller if these would work with my motor. He said it should work if the motor is 2 phase and under 4 amps. The machine currently has 2.3A 71W motors.

Do you think there is any chance the Centroid Guys would add the Quadrature Option to the Acorn? It was built in Mach3. I am sure there are quite a few MaxNC machines still out there. Below is the Config screen in Mach3 that allows you select Quadrature.

Yes they appear to be standard steppers, but you didn't give the specific model number.
Do you know the stepper power supply voltage?
I'd be wary of cheap drives. You usually get what you pay for. You can certainly try.
You need to know the current model stepper so you can look up the current and voltage specs. Having the inductance value can help calculate the power supply voltage too

I can't answer to the square wave thing, but probably unlikely. Step and direction control is pretty standard
