You may also need n004 = 2

I tried to change the noo4 but it will not go to 2 when I use the arrow key

If you can't change values, you might need n001 = 1.

Pg.121 shows the list of parameters.

Thank you that worked now everything is working as it should. It is so nice to have a controller that I can rely on. The only thing I have to do now is get the sweet spot for my G28 moves. I am running at 350 IPM I tried 550 but that was to fast and I lost steps. I will try going up about 25 IPM at a time until it stalls then back it down just a little.

Don't forget to back it off enough to allow for steppers and drives getting weaker as their heat increases.

If I bumped the stepper power supply up from 48v to 65v would that help with the speeds

What is the max voltage for the drives? The motors? It's printed on the drive but you'll have to calculate the max motor voltage mathematically. You just can't "bump up the power" unless you know the components can handle the power.

the 65 came with one of the shopbot controllers so it should be good

It's not the controller you need to worry about, it's the stepper drive and motor. I'm assuming a stepper drive and motor but I can't find what drive/motor combo you have.

The steppers and drives came out of a 4G shopbot so I know the supply will work I was just wondering if the larger power supply would let me run the machine a little faster. I already had the 48 volt unit wired and kept the 4G just in case. Now that the Acorn is working the way it should I was wondering if it would make much difference
