Re: New Build CNC Router
I see you are running 4.82. The latest version is 5.02, you should install the latest version as free support has ended for 4.82. You also have no inputs defined in your wizard for your proximity switches. I assume they are NPN and normally closed.
As for the direction on your axis, you wont know if you need to reverse an axis travel until you install the motors on the machine.

Re: New Build CNC Router
That's the same report you posted earlier. Please install 5.02 software before you go any further. 4.82 is old software.

Re: New Build CNC Router
Will do , Sorry ShawnM. I did not see that it posted the the report already. I was having problems posting it. I will install the new software and define my inputs for my home switches. Yes they are NPN NC.
I will post updated pictures also. I have all the motors mounted now.
I am reading through the manual now.
I really appreciate Your help.

Re: New Build CNC Router
No need to apologize Jesse, I was just pointing out it’s the same report. Start a google photo album and share a link here with us. This way all your pics are in one place when we need to see them. It’s so much easier if we can see what you are working with and how things are set up.
You need 3 limit switches set up as “home all” and then set up the soft travel limits in the wizard. This is the easiest way to get up and moving quickly.

Re: New Build CNC Router
Shawn thanks alot!
I read the acorn manual, downloaded the latest acorn software, created a google photo album https://photos.google.com/album/AF1QipO ... AXKL3RUZgy
and attached the latest report zip file.
I read the homing and autosquaring manual and im setting up my 4 NPN normally closed proximity switches with auto homing and auto squaring. Also setting up software limits.
Im really close to having it setup but im still not 100% clear on it.

Re: New Build CNC Router
I verified my proximity switches are functioning by checking voltage at the inputs 1 through 4 on the acorn board. They have 24 volts when they are not made and 0 volts when the switches are made. I see the input lights are red when the switches are not made and green when they are made. When I press the home button I get a message that says home tripped.
Im doing something wrong and not sure what im missing.
Any help would be appreciated.
thank you

Re: New Build CNC Router
Is one of the home switches tripped? Make sure you have the state of the input correct in the wizard, no or nc. Also, check that the inputs are not inverted in the plc diagnostics screen.
The link to your google album is not working, did you make it "public"?
