the machine looks decent, just needs some simple tweaks to get the most out of it. looks like the screws are 2.5 turns per inch? on X and Z?
if so, when you get new AC brushless motors belt the X motor 1:1 with the screw so the turns ratio will be the screw pitch (2.5) 2.5 turns per inch for X and Y is about perfect for the type of work you are doing. keep the Z belted the way it is.

How is the Y driven? screw? or rack? photos please.

I would put an AC 750 Watt brake motor on Z and a AC 750 watt motor on X. and i can comment on Y when i see photos.

The Y is direct drive. And the same pitch . Just a centered ballscrew.

Got the problem resolved modified the arm the limits hits and that shorten up the distance the limit moved.
