Should not be the case...
Can't see what you see. Always post a fresh report. Use your diagnostic screen (Alt and the i key) to watch the inputs (far upper left hand corner, legend is in the middle of the diagnostic screen under the last virtual LED line.
Video clip would be helpful. Do you have an error message in the dialog box?

Re: Homing routine for NO vs NC stops on limit switch for Y paired axis
both NO and NC switches are supported with axis pairing and auto squaring. several users have had issues with NO switches, this is why we always recommend NC switches. see hookup examples in the axis pairing guide. here.. https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... _guide.pdf

Re: Homing routine for NO vs NC stops on limit switch for Y paired axis
It's weird, I changed my switch for the new Temco switch and the NO homing routine issue disappeared. Seems like it was somehow hardware related which seems crazy given how simple a switch is!martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 8:47 am Should not be the case...

Re: Homing routine for NO vs NC stops on limit switch for Y paired axis
Good to know. I am running through the pairing routine now! Thanks Keith!cnckeith wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 11:11 am both NO and NC switches are supported with axis pairing and auto squaring. several users have had issues with NO switches, this is why we always recommend NC switches. see hookup examples in the axis pairing guide. here.. https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... _guide.pdf

Re: Homing routine for NO vs NC stops on limit switch for Y paired axis
Hi Keith! Thanks in advance for the help. The paired axis homing routine appears to not do anything when "Moving paired axis until slave switch is tripped" (no gantry movement--just a pause), and skips ahead to "moving until ... untripped" which moves the gantry in the opposite direction, away from the never tripped limit switches.cnckeith wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 11:11 am both NO and NC switches are supported with axis pairing and auto squaring. several users have had issues with NO switches, this is why we always recommend NC switches. see hookup examples in the axis pairing guide. here.. https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... _guide.pdf
Attaching a report. I fixed a bunch of other stuff, such as step count / overall turns ratio... Hopefully that can garner a few brownie points showing that I am at least somewhat competent
Thanks again for your patience.

Re: Homing routine for NO vs NC stops on limit switch for Y paired axis
Hi all. i have same problem whith pared axis
I have 3-axis cnc-mill. One of the axis has 2 motors and they are paired by software.
In 4-axis mode all 4 motors are controlled separatelly and everything is OK. But in paired mode during Home set 2 motors do not unpair and can't be controlled one by one.
Also in autosquering mode I get pop up message «Moving paired axis until slave switch is tripped...» but nothing happen. Then I get next message «Both NC. Press Cycle Start to continue.»
Again nothing happen. Next message «Moving Paired Axes until slave switch is un-tripped...»
and the axis start moving in opposite direction (out from the Home base).
The motors are connected by DB25.
Signal enabled is not used.
Everything is done according instruction.
Can anybody help?

Re: Homing routine for NO vs NC stops on limit switch for Y paired axis
Rustam112,
thanks for posting the report.zip!
it shows that you need to go back and look at those instructions again.
the report shows you do not have the Wizard inputs setup for Auto squaring, follow the instructions and setup HomeAll and Slavehomeinput. see page 10.
and
what kind of switches are being used?
verify that they open the input upon being triggered with a multi meter and at the Alt i screen.
verify you have the slave switch wired into the slave input.
and on other fronts...
the steps per rev in the report is very low.. machine will not perform well at this low value. you should read this. viewtopic.php?f=63&t=1801
what kind of motor drive is being used? what steps per rev is it set at?
