SSV and FRV question

Post by rollinschris61 »

Good evening. I have quick question about Ssv and frv. I’m sure it’s really simple, I’m just struggling for some reason but I’m not sure how to implement them other than with the m code. Do I have to make vcp buttons for them and is it possible to turn them on and off mid program without being in the program. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

If i understand you correctly, you would like to turn the FRV and SSV features on/off with a button instead of with an M-Code?

Currently the only two option is the M-Code or via the USB-BOB inputs with the provided Centroid PLC. However, new skin events for the VCP could be added to the PLC very easily.

With a small PLC edit you can also use the WMPG Macro buttons for SSV and/or FRV ON/Off.

Yeah I would like to be able to turn it on or off if chatter or stringing started to occur randomly. If that’s possible with the bob then that will be perfect because I actually have one being delivered sometime this week. So will just go that route then. Thanks again
