ok, now we are at a good baseline.

the disk images show that this is classic Lost Motion.

with the machine off

put your hand on the screw

turn the screw 1/8th - 1/4 of a turn CW then CCW, back and forth.

you will feel the 'lost motion' you will be able to rotate the screw for a number of degrees that will result in NO motion on the table.

perform this test.

I've already done the backslash adjustment once and it was a very small 0.02mm fit. When I do the one-way motion test, for example on X or Y, it moves perfectly when it goes in direction + or - the needle of the dial comparator is in the same position. But when I make a circle it comes out deformed.
