A few problems.

Post by Terry1956 »

Hi, today I set up the acorn board on my mill. However I have ran into a few problems. The Y axis motor runs fine in both directions. However the X axis motor only moves slowly and the Z axis not at all. The Z axis motor does lock up. All the motors are the same.
I set the motors in centroid to the following settings. Steps per revolution 2000. I am not sure if this correct.
Overall turns 1. Again not sure if this correct as I work in mm not inches.
Max rate. 5080mm
Fast rate. 2540mm
Slow rate. 254mm

Is there anything I can do, or check to correct this fault. Thanks

Keith, you forgot to ask him to upload a current report from the machine. Are you slipping?

Terry, there are a few changes you'll need to make but can you please post a current report so we can see all your settings in Acorn? Without this we'd just be guessing.

Also, as Keith pointed out, create a Google album and post pics of the drives and the DIP switch settings. Without this info we can't help you.
