a realy on the relay 8 board are either going to be connecting to one terminal or the other, one side is FWD the other is REV, easy peasy.

what's your question?
I guess what confuses me is if you look at the diagram showing the relay connections is has on OUT5 the SPIN FORWARD on the top of the three terminals, the VFD ENABLE in the middle, and SPIN REVERSE on the bottom of the three on the same relay. I get that it is switching between the top and bottom but in the wizard OUT5 can only have one output assigned to it so I'm not sure which to drag and drop onto OUT5

It tells you on the schematic :) Set output 5 to VFDDirection

🤦‍♂️ that would require me being smart enough to read that lol. Thank you that helps.

AAAAAAAAAAARG! I think a large portion of my issues were the contactor! I thought I heard it "clunk" each time but I had my cabinet lying down last time I was trying to troubleshoot something and turned it on and "thunk!" and suddenly i was actually able to move the axis' but then I started smelling something and it was actually smoking! It is rated for 24v 50hz and I have it connected like in the VFD schematic. Is that not the right rating to connect a 24v power supply ? https://shorturl.at/8XLKq

I hate the smell of connecting an AC contactor to 24v DC

Crap is that what I did? I didn't see AC or DC in the description of that one. Obviously I need help when it comes to this stuff.

Yup, the link you posted from Amazon clearly states this is a 24 volt AC contactor on the first line of the description. And you can see this in the pic. I thought I smelled something burning. :D

That Amazon listing would also require you to be smart enough to read it.

You can also use a 110VAC or 220VAC depending on your machines input voltage.
