Z axis brake issues After upgrade v5.08 < resolved. don't use restore report.>
good evening community! I wonder if any of you had problems with the z axis brake release after updating to V5.08 ? I updated the parameters as on the old release which was perfectly functional, but I receive a fault driver z because the brake is not released ... any help is appreciated! As soon as I return to the laboratory I will provide a configuration report

not that i am aware of.
post a fresh report.zip and the old one so we can see your setup. you might have just put the brake release on the wrong output etc..
fyi latest release is v5.10 and is about to be replaced with v5.20

Re: Z axis brake issues After upgrade v5.08
hi, I tried to go back to the old configuration and the brake started working again! However, I would like to upgrade to the most recent version. I attach the most recent report (z brake not working)
and version 5.08 where it worked
and version 5.08 where it worked

Re: Z axis brake issues After upgrade v5.08
Comparing the two reports shows that one config has the output for Axis3BrakeRelease set for output #7 and the other has no outputs set at all.

Re: Z axis brake issues After upgrade v5.08
In that report, the "acorn_mill_plc.src" file is dated October 7th, and says that OUT7 is the axis #3 (Z) brake release.
However, the compiled "mpu.plc" file is dated April 29th, and says that OUT7 is the generic "OUTPUT7" (with no brake release control).
Somehow, you got the PLC source file changed, but did not get it compiled.
If you open a command prompt window, change to the c:\cncm directory, and enter the command:
... do you get error messages, or do you get a "compilation successful" message?

Re: Z axis brake issues After upgrade v5.08
MANY THANKS, THIS WORKED FOR ME! I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY ERROR MESSAGE, IT WAS SUFFICIENT TO RECOMPILE THE PLC SOURCE FILE AND THE BRAKE RELEASE WORKED AGAIN!
