Getting M56 working after update

Post by vw_chuck »

I updated to version 5.08 and I am having trouble getting the M56 button working on my lathe.
I changed the tailstock in and out to M56 on the VCP I am using
I got M55 working by copying the Mfunc55 from my version 4.5.
I tried to get M56 working by copying Mfunc56 from my old version but when I push it is goes to chamfer one shot. I looked in the button folder and M56 and the chamfer one shot are both skin event 19.
I followed along in the VCP manual but there was no mention of a skin event. No idea what a skin event is and not sure what I am doing wrong.
I attached my report if that will help?

Looking at the skin events from the acorn_lathe_plc skin event 19 and 70 are linked to row 3 column 5. Also the one shot for chamfering is linked to skin event 19....something seems wrong here as the one shot for chamfer is not at row 3 column 5?

In CNC12, change machine parameter 198 to "5611".

Will the one shot chamfer still work? Will the M56 button work? I want them both to work.
I will try this when I get home tonight.\
Thanks

OK I changed this to 5611 but now the one shot for chamfering also does the same thing that my M56 button is programmed for. How do I get the one shot chamfer working again?

Can I repurpose another button like chuck open or chuck close since I don't use that? Is there a diagram of what AUX outputs are used where on the lathe VCP?
