Differences on upgrade to 5.08
I recently upgraded to 5.08 from 4.50. I moved all my settings over from the wizard and my tool library and wcs on my lathe. My next question do I need to make all the parameter numbers the same? There are some differences between 4.5 and 5.08. Do I need to make all the numbers the same as 4.5 in parameters?
Not sure if I have to do this either but do I have to use the old report I made from 4.50 to update to the 5.08? I tried and it said this is an old report from 4.5 do you still want to load it? I did not. Maybe I was supposed to.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Differences on upgrade to 5.08
Hello,
Do not load in the report from 4.50 as there were several changes as you have noted. Only restore the report to the same version it was created from.
It is best to manually copy the values for parameters that have not changed and double check the manual to confirm that the previous setting will work for those that did change.

Re: Differences on upgrade to 5.08
and there is no such thing as a cnc12 "upgrade"
you are installing and configuring a new version of CNC12.

Re: Differences on upgrade to 5.08
I read the install instructions but there is NO mention of the parameters. So I do need to change the parameters or leave them how they are?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Differences on upgrade to 5.08
Make the same settings in the Wizard, and if your old install had some parameters set by hand, do the same in 5.08
You can read out the Parameter setting in the report

Re: Differences on upgrade to 5.08
Most relevant parameters for Acorn are set by the Wizard. As long as you saved the wizard configuration (pdf or screenshots) and are able to reproduce the Wizard configurations, you won't need to change any by hand.
