I am reluctant to update to the latest release but want to. My current lathe setup
1) I changed some buttons around on the VCP ( I do remember how to update this)
2) I have a macro on 2 of the buttons (don't remember how I did this)
3) It currently displays the degrees of rotation on the spindle and resets at 360 degrees (I also have no idea how I did this)
Does 1-3 automatically transfer over? If not how do I manually transfer over this stuff?
Does my tool library automatically transfer over?
Does my license automatically transfer over?
I have not seen anything regarding the above in the update instruction.
All help is appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Upgrading to latest Acorn Release Question
You will have to do any customizations by hand after the update.
Tool Lib and WCS files have to be copied by hand also.

Re: Upgrading to latest Acorn Release Question
I have upgraded to the latest version 5.08 on another laptop and still can't figure out how to get my DRO to display the degrees of rotation of my spindle? Anyone know how to do this? remember making parameter 143 an 11. I did this on the new machine and it did not display anything on the DRO. just z and X. Any ideas. Also alot of the parameters are different from my old 4.5 to 5.08 and I don't want to just go changing parameters or should I make them the same as 4.5?
Thanks for the help

Re: Upgrading to latest Acorn Release Question
Disregard. I figured it out. Named axis 5 as M and changed parameter 166 to 11.
