Can anyone tell me what to expect on the enable terminal with the Acorn Board when an enable signal is sent?
Is it a logic level voltage ie 3.3 volts or is it 24v or what. I need to test the enable terminal to ensure it is working properly.
Thanks,
Stuart

Re: Enable Signal on Acorn
Hi Stuart,
Which enable terminal are you referring to? On the DB25 header, you should expect 5V logic levels.
However, it will be an open collector output on the green pluggable screw terminal headers so the voltage is whatever the external circuitry (drive's enable input) pulls it up to. This is most likely 24V.

Re: Enable Signal on Acorn
I am inquiring only about the Acorn Board but maybe I understand where you are going. I am using it with Clearpath Servos.
So my guess is that because the Clearpath Servos need 24v to enable this is what the Acorn board is using.
Am I correct?
Thanks
