Please check my configuration - Shuttle Express not recognized in CNC12 <resolved>
Hello
As I was going through testing my CNC this weekend I decided to use the Contour Shuttle Express to move the gantry.
I set this up last year and used it just long enough to see that it worked.
So today I tried it and CNC12 doesn't seem to recognize the shuttle.
I went into the Shuttle Express settings, selected Centroid CNC and the appropriate application as per the instructional video.
(I will note that every time I open the Shuttle Express settings it shows "Global." It does not come up showing Centroid CNC. When I select Centroid CNC I can click the physical buttons on the Shuttle and the corresponding buttons activate on the display. Should this come up showing Centroid CNC when I open the Shuttle Express settings? I am under the assumption that each application can have its own settings so this is why it shows the generic "global" when opened.)
Ok... Assuming that the Shuttle Express is OK... I open CNC12. I don't have the same configuration wizard as is in the video but I can go under Utility/Acorn Wizard/Input Devices and select ShuttleXpress. I then save and restart the software.
After restarting, clearing the reset and pressing Cycle/Start nothing happens when I press any buttons on the Shuttle. I can press Alt-J on the keyboard and it shows that the shuttle is activated... but nothing happens.
This was working last year... So I don't know what is going on.
I have attached my configuration file and I hope I am just doing something wrong... as is normally the case.

Sounds like you know what I know. Check to see if you have an executable file named cdi_shuttle_win_2.13.3 it will have a .zip or .exe. This is what the shuttle needs to be recognized by acorn. Alt J can activate it once installed. I tried mine yesterday and perhaps a windoze update inflicted some damage...so I'll be waiting for the answers you get. I had to reinstall after the last update 4.82 to 5.xx

Re: Please check my configuration - Shuttle Express not recognized in CNC12
We had a big storm go through here. I was out of power for days. Thankfully it is back on and I finally got back to this.
Your fix worked. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Shuttle Express software and it worked.
I did try to do the repair option. That didn't work.
So, if anyone else has this problem, I hope this thread helps.

Update: I go out there today and the shuttle no longer works. I am going to look for that file you mentioned. This sucks.

Re: Please check my configuration - Shuttle Express not recognized in CNC12
I spent much of my afternoon trying to get this to work. I never made the Shuttle Express work with Centroid.
I uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times.
I removed and re-loaded the settings.
I removed the Shuttle Express setting from CNC12 - restarted - set it back and restarted again... Still nothing.
I can see the buttons working in the Contour Express settings app. I know that device manager is recognizing the driver.
I even installed the Shuttle Express on a different computer and configured it to work with Excel. It worked perfectly.
The only thing I haven't tried is setting the Shuttle Express to work with a different app besides CNC12 on the NUC that I am using with my controller. That NUC is used just for CNC 12 and I am trying to avoid installing anything that isn't necessary.
Also: I never did find the file mentioned above. I did a search through the entire C drive and it didn't turn up.
Any suggestions?

Bump
Does anyone have a copy of the cdi_shuttle_win_2.13.3 file? What is the path where it should be found?
I have tried many things but still can't get this thing to work.
