Tool clearance adjustment between each pass when turning
Hello
I still have a problem when I run the GCode created by Intercon, cannot change the retract distance of the tool in turning mode when it returns to the start for a new pass.
Whatever I program it's stuck at 0.1mm.
Does anyone have the solution to my problem?
No encoder/ No spindle speed, only X and Y stepper with driver.
Regards

Without the actual Intercon program or even the name of the Intercon cycle, we're left guessing. You can go to F9 settings in Intercon and adjust the tool retract amount and see if that makes a difference.
Cheers,
Tom

Unfortunately that doesn't change anything.

After changing setup, you must repost the intercon prog.

Re: Tool clearance adjustment between each pass when turning
HI
Thanks Uwe, yes i repost the code after modification.
I can turn with a good precision but without clearance.
It's strange I put 1mm clearance amount and there is 0 clearance in reality. if I put 5mm the same things.
I had a video to show you but apparently not possible to upload directly to the forum.
For me two solution, either there is a setting that removes the clearance amount or I have a software problem (probably due to a mistake i made)
I hope someone could help me to resolve this problem.

The simplest way is to upload to Youtube and link to it from here. It's pretty quick and easy.
Perhaps you could post the code that is generated?

Re: Tool clearance adjustment between each pass when turning
Can you post the Intercon file as well? What is the nose direction setting for tool #1?
Cheers,
Tom

Re: Tool clearance adjustment between each pass when turning
There does seem to be a tiny amount of retract - eg at 1:20 in the video. Barely discernible but it's there. But it's a long way short of 10mm.
If you can post the code that's generated, perhaps it might be more obvious what's happening.

Re: Tool clearance adjustment between each pass when turning
I think I see a 1mm feedrate move at the very end but it is in the direction opposite of the feed. My guess is the nose vector is set to 7.
Cheers,
Tom
