spindle encoder

Post by Emzy cnc »

Hallo guys
Im planing to upgrade me cnc setup to tapping
before i used to hooked up china encoder for 30 $ but without any luck , it didnt worked as centroid showed me some errors.
Specialy after turning it to 5000 rpm , encoder was broken ...

Ive seen your videos with encoders, and also ive seen it on your website where ive could buy it, but it is not there any more .

Where i can buy reliable encoder for my spindle from ? to just hooked it up without any soldering atc... ??

With the small Omrons, or there chinese copys, limit is 6000rpm but only with 1000 lines or less, a 2000 line will only go up to 3000rpm because of limited speed from the electronic.

For no soldering you can use a DB9 plug with screw on terminals.

For high speed I would not direct drive the encoder, but with a coupling and extra shaft/bearings for the drive belt
