Interesting. I need to learn more about this. It's not readily apparent to me how scraping can increase rigidity. I'll put it on the list of things to learn after I get the mill up and running. Thanks for the video!

The structure itself will not become more rigidity from scraping, but to get the sliding surfaces even so they have full contact makes ist possible to have a minimum of play with smooth movement. So vibration/scattering occurs later.

This is what I do first with cheap machines, complete disassemble and rework all sliding and mounting surfaces for perfect geometry and smooth movement.

You can do this together with installing the oiling system.
