Matt is Centroid's Engineer.
You should get the correct cable and relay board from Centroid.

If you don't need any relay outputs, I guess it all worked out ok.
The new revision will work. It looks like you might have had encountered the issue where voltage feeds back through the open collector outputs. That pitfall has been resolved with relay outputs.

Did not want to claim successful operation too early, so ran the CNC machine for a couple of days of production first.
All works, just like it did before the Acorn board failed (probably my fault...).
Some photos of my CNC machine and a video showing what was being made yesterday are available here:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/DtMH8ErhJhBQoTLk8
Note - lots of other machinery running when video taken - lowering the volume level is recommended.
Now - I just need to make up lost production time 8-)

Thank you to Marty's Garage for all the help to find the fault that needed correcting.
Also a thank you to Centroid for their quick response and quickly shipping a new Acorn board.

glad you are up and running, what is the final product?

Rev 4 relay board and cable can be purchased on the Acorn web page, here.

Product in video (link repeated below) is one of a set of 7 embroidery tools that I make.
I also make many types of Lacemaker's tools as well.
All can be seen on my web site: http://richardpikul.com/

I don't really have a use at present for the rev 4 relay board at this time, will keep it in mind if I made any additions.

Not sure if this repeats - thought I made this post on my phone earlier, but it did not appear, so re-posted.
