Your printout shows that nothing is actually connecting with the address of 10.168.41.1. On the machine that I'm using right now, I have two physical ethernet adapters, one WiFi adapter and three virtual adapters. One of the physical adapters is setup to receive a DHCP assigned address from my local router. That is an adapter that can be used to get to the Internet. One of the physical adapters has its static address assigned to 10.168.41.1. That adapter is used to connect to the Acorn on a test bench. The WiFi addapter uses DHCP to connect to one of my WiFi routers. The virtual adapters are used with virtual machines and are configured as required so that the virtual machines can do what they need to do.

On the NUK that is connected to my Taig mill, the ethernet adapter has the static address of 10.168.41.1 so that it can connect to the Acorn. The WiFi address of the NUK is assigned an address from the WiFi's DHCP server. I turn OFF WiFi when I am running the Taig.

You'll need to reconfigure your ethernet on your computer so that the adapter that is connected to your Acorn has the address of 10.168.41.1

The asus card is connected to the acorn. The picture I posted is how the ip is set for that adapter.

When ever I plug in any other Ethernet device to my computer, the lights next to the Ethernet cable instantly light up- even if it doesn’t have the correct settings- and windows says unknown device. When i plug in the acorn I get no lights. It seems to me there is a physical connection issue-

Not according to the output of the ipconfig command. Neither of your wired Ethernet cards have an assigned IP Address. Your wireless adapter has an IP that looks like it was assigned by your Internet router.

The first IPCONFIG/ALL I posted was with acorn plugged in to the asus ethernet port. The one I just posted was with a stereo receiver plugged into the same port with no software settings changes- just plugging it in. It seems the IP can be set correctly, but if the physical connection isnt there, it doesn't show. If I unplug the stereo, (still no software settings changes) the ipconfig/all report goes back to nothing listed.

That's correct and now we're getting somewhere.

Power everything off and unplug the ethernet cable from the Acorn. Examine the Acorn RJ45 socket's 8 gold tracks ensuring they are all parallel, not damaged / crossed over and there is no debris. Preferably use a magnifying glass

Edited to say unplug the cable from the socket

Hope this helps

What is the make and model of the computer you are using? Please post a picture of it and the connection to Acorn from it.
You should be using the computers NATIVE (built on/physical) ethernet port via the Centroid provided Ethernet cable to communicate with Acorn.
Reminder, for support please follow this post: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=383

My computer is:
Dell 3847 Inspiron 3.2ghz, ssd hard drives, 12gb ram, clean win 10 install, firewalls off.

I just got it sort of mounted in my cabinet:

So I got it working- the bbg card is bad. I got another card and loaded the firmware and it instantly connected. All 4 computers I have previously tried before now will connect. I took pictures of the original card and the solder joints for the Ethernet port look kind of sketchy. There is a gap under one of them.
