I run latest version software 12_4.08 (mill). I use a Xkeys keypad.
When USB jog panel is active, and I select the following options:
Setup F1, Config F3, Machine F2, Jog F1, and I use the arrow keys to move between the input fields the X and Y axis are moving depending on the arrow I press.
When the USB jog panel is not active the arrows do not make the axis move.
When I disable the Xkeys pad in the Wizard, and see the jog panel on the monitor, I can still go the setup (although the jog panel hides the input files) and when trying to change the jog settings, the arrows make the axis move.
Axis are moving when pressing arrow keys in Jog setup (explained)

Alt J turns keyboard jogging on and off. Not the setting in the wizard. the setting in the wizard "Xkeys yes or no" simply turns off the keyboard Legend graphic so its not in your way and since you don't need it ..since you have an X keys or Xbox controller with labels on the keys.
if you don't want the arrow keys to move an axis, simple turn off keyboard jogging by pressing <Alt J> at the same time.
if for some reason you want keyboard jogging on at the same time as you are in a setup screen for whatever reason...use the Tab and Enter keys to move the cursor around in the table or setup dialog boxes.
or just press <ALT J> to turn off keyboard jogging and use the arrows keys as normal.
and you can always use the touch screen VCP to jog with or without keybaord jogging on or off.

Re: Axis are moving when pressing arrow keys in Jog setup
Hi Keith,
I think You mis-understand me. I only wanted to report that while I was in config mode changing the jog settings, suddenly the axes were moving because I was using the arrow keys to move between the input fields. I never expected the axes would move in config mode. Is this by design?
Kind regards,
Fred.

when keyboard jogging is ON.. it is ON, no matter what screen you are in.
if you don't want the arrow keys to move an axis.. turn off keyboard jogging by pressing <Alt J>

Ok clear, another small step in learning a new controller. Still many small steps to go, and lots of questions on my mind. Next step on my todo list: I have to forget the mach3 way of working
