Great minds think alike. I marked my probe to line up with the spindle too.

Cost of the app is whatever it's worth to you. There is no fixed price you just pay the price you think is fair. I highly recommend this app.

Re: ProbeApp V2: The ultimate solution for Tool Height Offsets
Swissi,
I'm having trouble getting z to set to 0 correctly on a corner plate. It I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. If after probing xyz, it goes to x0y0 great. If I tell it to go to Z0 it goes approximately 1/4" or 6 mm lower than the thickness of the corner plate. Any ideas?

Re: ProbeApp V2: The ultimate solution for Tool Height Offsets
Sorted, my distance/turn was off on my z-axis. I knew it was something simple.

Re: ProbeApp V2: The ultimate solution for Tool Height Offsets
Is there any option to probe 2 holes/bosses and use the centerline to update CSR?

Re: ProbeApp V2: The ultimate solution for Tool Height Offsets
The current version does not have this option. I do have some ideas of an interactive probing cycle generator that will allow to stack multiple probing moves together to make such options possible. No promises made and definitely no release date yetknastenrad wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 7:15 am Is there any option to probe 2 holes/bosses and use the centerline to update CSR?

Re: ProbeApp V2: The ultimate solution for Tool Height Offsets
HEY!!!
For face mills, Is there a way to offset the tool setter? When it touches off the height of the face mill is it hitting the center and not the cutting tip.

Re: ProbeApp V2: The ultimate solution for Tool Height Offsets
In ProbeApp v2.04 you can mark a tool in the Tool Offset Library of the "ProbeApp - Tool Offsetter" that needs special attention for touch off:
In the ProbeApp - ToolOffsetter configuration page you can configure if the cycle should offset the tool by the size of the tool radius and in which direction the offset should occur:
The probing cycle will still stop above the Tool Touch Off device so you can make sure the tool is placed properly for touch off before you press Cycle Start to continue. Some tools like a Fly Cutter still need operator attention to position the tool properly even after the tool radius offset has occurred.
