I have a pneumatic solenoid attached to the ATC, it has 2 wires and those 2 wires have a pigtail to a button to make manual tool changes. What is the best way to wire this into the acorn board so that I will still be able to use the button when needed to change tools? I looked thru the list of schematics but didn't see anything that addressed that unless I overlooked it. I've just had it wired into the VFD for power and have been making manual changes up to this point.

Re: Wiring solenoid for atc
Generally just wire the NO momentary switch across the NO relay contact. That way either can operate the solenoid.

Re: Wiring solenoid for atc
The push button switch and the acorn relay board relay are wired in parallel. Either one will activate the solenoid.
I have my +24V and gnd connected to the Best VFD. Just make additional connections as shown in the diagram to one of the relays on the Acorn relay board.
These relays have terminals for both NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed) operation. You would choose the NO terminal, and the other would be the common terminal. It doesn't matter which one of the wires goes to which terminal. You are just switching the +24V to activate the solenoid valve. The gnd still connects to the common terminal on the vfd.
