Could someone explain which treadmill motor and how to mount it on a mini lathe?

Hiya Milton,
Reviving this old thread. I've finally gotten to thinking about trying to get the spindle speed calibrated and am unsure which pots on which device to adjust. The KBCC-125R manual seems to say the max speed pot won't work when you're using voltage following mode (which I assume is the same as 0-10v analog input). I've tried adjusting both MIN and MAX on the KBSI-240D but nothing seems to happen. I then adjusted the MIN pot on the KBCC-125R and this allowed me to calibrate the speed somewhat. I adjusted the MIN pot up a little so at 300-500-1000 rpm, the encoder output rpm matches the commanded RPM. At zero rpm, the chuck spins slowly and an M5 will make it stop. Just wanted to check and see if you thought this was normal.
Thanks!

Scot,

It's been a while since I tweaked mine but if memory serves, the trim pots on the both the KBCC & the KBSI have an effect on the speed. The KBCC on my lathe was NIB so I left it alone & made all adjustments on the KBSI. The used one on the mill had been heavily tweaked with blobs of hot glue to lock-in the settings. I removed the glue & put everything back to the factory settings. I just matched them up visually to what's shown in the manual picture & it seems to work OK. The mill project is stalled right now & I haven't tried to final-adjust it yet.

Mine does the same thing at zero RPM as well.
