I was singing the praises of the acorn install I did on the Chinese double head router I refitted with Acorn to a friend with an imported mach3 router.
He said he was interested but would want to add a tangential oscillating knife to his machine.
I know very little about tangential oscillating kinves but I think all the magic happens in the post processor and the knife is just connected to the 4th axis and driven in degrees from a fixed home point?
Does anyone have any experience with tangential knives and can you recommend a source for purchasing one?
Thanks
Bill

Hi Marty
No that is not the same thing. An oscillating tangential knife is essentially a jigsaw that has its blade being steered by an axis so its tangential to the cut.
