Absolutely fantastic!!! A couple questions; what is the device you are using for tool touch off? and what is the tool post?

You are a bad influence - now I need a cnc lathe 9-)

Tool Touch Off is a cheap chinese 3D probe with NPN circuit and a self made Tip.

Tool post is a solid block cast iron with a Multifix quick change system on top.

Multifix is very popular in Germany and Swiss on manual lathes.

Do you touch the diameter and the end of the probe tip?
I found the Multifix post...I'll have to save my pennies 9-)

Yes, acorn lathe dose this in one go if you choose Measure X and Z auto.

There are lot of copies from Multifix on the market, chinese ones are cheap, good ones from AXA Germany have perfect quality for a few more bucks.

Is the probe a touch probe with a different stylus?

When you say that you have servo motors. Do you mean stepper motors with encoders "hybrid steppers"? I have a milling machine with servo motors but they are DC and i don't think that they will work with the Acorn control board.

Prior to my conversion I bench tested Acorn using the original DC motors and Gecko G320 drivers. The problem with the Geckos is they are limited to 80 VDC.. among other limitations.
