Procut X30 Conversion

Post by chronolite »

Here's my latest conversion. This started as a brand new Procut X30. It came with Mach, but the owner didn't like anything about it. After heavy consideration of options, Centroid CNC was chosen.

Notable features include
[*]All Delta drives with servos. I love the ASDA-A2 servo drives, they are beasts and run great with Acorn at 400khz.
[*]The Delta VFD-VE automatically switches the motor windings between Delta and Wye field windings based on RPM to maximize torque at speed
[*]8 bin carousel ATC, runs smooth, bi directional, nice and fast changes - the Automation direct GS1 was easy to setup
[*]Ether 1616 expansion, lots of nice little features added
[*]KP-3 Touch Probe and Tool Height Sensor
[*]Wireless MPG
[*]Custom Saunders SMW production tolling plate with several vices
