This is a lathe conversion that uses the Acorn controller. I replaced all lead screws with ball screws. On the X axis I replaced the dove tail ways with 25mm linear bearings. I left the back accordion way cover off so you can see the conversion. The turret works great but I do have the program wait for operator confirmation after indexing before proceeding. It did over shoot on a tool change once so I don't trust it 100%
I Will be changing to VFD on the spindle when I get the time. Been very happy with the Acorn product.
