Old Techno Isel Rebuild

Post by MountainMetal »

This is an old machine that ran in the Case Knife factory in Bradford, Pa. Cutting knife sides was its only job. Bought from a guy in Bradford a couple of years ago and just got around to upgrading with Centroid Acorn and Clear Path motors. Obviously I have to refine some motor settings. Hope to make some dust this weekend. Vids are of the first runs. Finally got some grease to the bearings. They are quieter now.

Couldn't wait, had to make the first chips before I was completely finished. Think I'll keep it. I can see ATC soon. First chips this machine has seen in a long time. Could find my large hold downs.

FYI - CNC12 Router - 1/4" in 2 flute bit, 14,0000 rpm at 140ipm. .15" stepover and .15" depth of cut, Went easy being first cut.
