Ok, after looking at this from many angles, and reading so many posts on many sites, I ordered a 48" X 48" ProCNC. All the hardware from AVID and all the electronics, motors, and spindle from Gary Campbell. running Centroid Acorn.
And I have added the rotary too. I will say it has been an adventure to this point, and I am now doing some fine tuning. The basic hardware seems to be very good, and I am happy with the electronics package.
I am not rushing through this, but using what free time I have to complete this.
I can say without a doubt, that the support I have gotten at this point has been great.

Over the weekend, I ran my first part.
Many may have seen this as part from Vectric tutorial files, but I thought what better to use all three axis together and make sure I get good product.
Now it's time to get busy and learn the new systems.

Just an update - Still more than satisfied with the whole project.
It's been a little over a year, working on the CNC part time I have been making a variety of items.
Most of the things have been rotary, walking sticks and canes, but I have done a few smaller signs and some big ones too.
I have been spending time watching more videos and refreshing my mind on macros. That was one of my specialties in previous life.
Overall, I can, and have, recommended the system I put together to others
