42” manual Kondia’s evolution to allinonedc

Bought this used Kondia mill about twenty years ago to help keep things working on the ranch. I eventually wanted to upgrade it but retain manual use characteristics. I bought some old Anilam parts stripped off an old Bridgeport and began adapting things to my mill- except my machine is generally metric.... nothing quite fits and the ball screws were for a larger machine...
. so adapt!!!!

Machine worked but the electrics eventually failed... Centroid to the rescue! I have used original servos, power box, transformer and caps along with some cabling. Room runs out quickly in this cabinet! Boring the servos for a 6mm shaft for the new encoders was the most difficult setup. Managed to mill the yoke to fit using the mill on itself.

Machine is up and running! The assembly manual is fantastic! I had only a couple minor issues that were expertly answered on the support forum.
