Video PM727M Retrofit with Acorn CNC controller and Techno CNC Lathe

Post by cnckeith »

We take a tour of MecTechMike's garage shop and talk about how he retrofitted a Precision Matthews PM727M to CNC using the Acorn CNC controller with Clearpath AC servos. After that, Mike shows us his Techno CNC Lathe and goes over how he updated it with another Acorn and Clearpath axis motors. Interesting subjects covered are Z axis counter balance, Proximity Switches, Encoder installation and Rigid tapping, G99 Encoder spindle to axis electronic transmission, cabinet layout . See CNC touch screen and wireless MPG in use.
