Final update:
We got the Centroid TT1-B Tool Touch probe wired, configured and functioning properly.
Also got the spindle brake wired to a NO Contact block that was added to the Estop button, so if you hit the Estop, the spindle brake is applied and the spindle will stop rather quickly.

And an update from me... Marty was basically able to pull off the complete update in a weekend. We had to add the Quencharcs and the wiring to activate the brake upon e-stop, but that was minimal. We had been working on some parts prior to the swap, running 25 pieces for a product we make. After the conversion, we set up the next operation and Karen ran the 25 parts today in about 4 hours. The machine performs flawlessly, very easy to adjust to the new control, and the whole conversion couldn't have gone smoother.

While I had no real issues with the old Milltronics control, it was old... parts are scarce, it's hard to upload larger programs, running under DNC has it's limitations and it was just time to step into a current control. The operator interface works slick, easy to get used to and pretty intuitive on the layout. I don't see it taking long to adjust.

It was a bit nerve-wracking to tear into a working machine, but looking back it's well worth it and I'd do it again. We will get a lot more miles out of the old gal in the future.

If I could figure out how to post pics, I would, but you can see the parts we ran today on the google album:

Video of Parts running, this was a 25 piece batch, ran perfectly, no issues whatsoever. Wife likes new control, easier to adapt to that she thought it was going to be, she was up to speed in minutes.
