DXF to AcornCNC

Post by thinkcnc »

Hi to All,
I just finished my retrofit from Franco CNC to a 7x16 Mini-Lathe and AcornCNC kit.
This Video will show Turning a Snowman from a DXF file converted to G-Code for AcornCNC:

Have a Good Day!

Hiya Bob, looks good! Did you do the .dxf -> g-code conversion with the program you wrote & were selling a few years back? If so, I still have the program on my old Mach3 PC. If I were to need to use it on my lathe w/Acorn, what would I need to do to the program to make it happen?

Hi
Yes, I have been selling CAD2Lathe for a long time. What you see now is a CAD2Lathe just for AcornCNC called CAD2AcornCNC.
Also what I didn't talk about in the video was, that the Lathe has Closed Loop system and I just got it running. I used Mach3 turn for many years and love it. Now I love AcornCNC.
Thanks for your interest.

Bob...
Most of the parts I turn have Bezier curves rather than arcs. Does CAD2AcornCNC support the use of bezeirs?
