Re: Optional Post Processor for VCarve
Yeah, there's a fair amount of possibility for wood movement there and a 0.25" tool will most always leave waterlines. I see some screws at the ends of the jig for holding, but how about putting a few in the waste areas, like the circles. You could try leaving an allowance on the edge and then ...

Re: Optional Post Processor for VCarve
If you air cut those, can you see any deviation or "jump" or does it run smoothly? You're not rubbing the shank of the tool at those support areas? Did you say that it returns to xy zero or is it off when finished? If you are cutting through the supports each time, how about cutting a reli...

Re: Optional Post Processor for VCarve
Opening a dxf or dwg exported from a program like AI or CorelDraw that might have been a circle will generally end up as many segments in VCP/Aspire which will then not generate G2/G3 arcs (maybe depends on the dxf version). The reason I suggested the 6 decimal places change is that with one control...

Re: Optional Post Processor for VCarve
Just for fun, try editing your pp to output 6 decimal places instead of 4. Open the Centroid arc inch pp in an editor and look for the lines as pasted below and change all the "1.4" to "1.6". Save the pp, reopen VCP, recalculate and try it again. + Formating for variables + +====...

Lookin' good. What was your ballnose diameter?
I'll be getting up and running shortly and have several 3D jobs to run. I mostly run a 0.0625 BN at 8% stepover due to the need to pull more detail.

Re: Odd MPG Behavior
I noticed this as well on my first play with my new wireless MPG today on my little 3 axis test bench/board setup.

That's shorts and t-shirt weather around here (just to the west of Gary)! Factor in wind chills for later this week and we're talking a 100º difference! I'm green with envy , but will be blue in skin tone!

Re: TT and Moveable Plate
Not sure, but what I think some may be getting hung up on is the "G28 is the tool change position". This is not the position of the fixed touch off, but it is the position where you the operator want to change out the old tool for the new tool before proceeding to the fixed touch off or th...

Re: New Centroid Acorn Control 3D Printed Case!
Bill,
Did you ever upload your files to Thingiverse? I printed the base, but found that the standoffs are to low. How did the holes for releasing the catches work out?
I'd like to make it with a flat top so that I could do a color change for the logo.
Thanks,
Scott
