Re: Milltronics MB24

The cabinet looks like it has not been "molested" by anyone which is a good thing. I would call milltronics and get a copy of the factory schematic. You can then circle what you are keeping and needs to be removed. I would not just go in and rip it all out, as you will be putting at least ...

Re: Milltronics MB24

The contactors in this system are activated with 24VDC. What model milltronics do you have? Does it have DC servo motors or AC? What Centroid control did you buy? You should post some pictures se we can see what you are working with. Here is the machine when I purchased it. Whomever was in there mad...

Re: Software enhancements request

I have been working on my cylinder head trunnion plate the last few weeks. 20230325_132817.jpg Yesterday I began to put in the dowel holes and tap some of the holding bolts with a single profile 4 tooth thread mill. Using the centroid software was very simple and straight forward. The only trouble w...

Re: Milltronics MB24

Dlenardu... it has a lever on the side of the head that puts it into backgear. The lever trips a roller switch that is connected to the allin1 low gear input and the control then knows the speed range is low (50-500rpm) and inverts the signal to the VFD so the spindle rotates in the proper direction...

Re: Milltronics MB24

I reused everything on the right side of the cabinet. See picture below. 20211025_134910.jpg I did also reuse the factory ac/dc rectifier board and caps for the servos and also the 90vdc circuit for the z axis brake. On the bottom left side of the cabinet I reused the noise filter for the pc 120vac ...

Re: Slavtec touch probe

Thank you Keith.
There had to be a logical explanation out there in Centroid land somewhere.

Re: Slavtec touch probe

Marc... Thank you for a clear and concise explanation. I knew you would be the first to show us the light. :) Luke, no worries on any form of high jacking. This is how we all learn from each other. Glad to see you have it sorted out. But my first question still goes un-answered. Why is it that I do ...

Re: Slavtec touch probe

Hey Luke. I am using the Allin1 , not the acorn. So we do not get the luxury of having a wizard to configure things. It all must be done manually. I do not even get the on screen graphic that shows the probe clear / probe tripped. What does change for me is the turtle on the VCP lights red. The prob...

Re: Slavtec touch probe

Thank you Keith.
I been in touch with him for his software.

But it still does not answer my 2 questions.
Should the probe be set up as a tool for height. I did set the diameter.
And why is the probe trip graphic that I took a screen shot from the install manual not showing up

Slavtec touch probe

The touch probe showed up this week so I decided today was the day to hook it up. I had pre-made the cable inside the cabinet and used a GX12 style jack on the outside. The cable is jumpered on the plug side as to when you plug it in the probe detect circuit is active. All is well. Spindle in inhibi...
