Re: ALLIN1DC Auto Spindle

You'll need to provide some additional information before anyone can help. Please refer to this post viewtopic.php?f=64&t=383 on how to create a current report on your machine setup and post some photos of the control setup.

Re: intercon arc

End point and radius arc moves take the starting point from the machine's current position. If you want it to start at Z0, then you need to make a move PRIOR to the arc move to position the tool at Z0 and then call your arc move.

Re: Help, weird error

Can you post a report taken right after the error occurs? The report you posted has the program listed as "ncfiles\NO_JOB_LOADED.cnc" so I don't know whether to trust the offset information in the file either. I suspect you don't have enough Z travel to go that low.

Re: 8 position Toolchanger lathe

The Acorn does not have any provisions for serial communication to devices. You can use bit signalling by turning Acorn outputs on/off and connecting those to GPIO pins on the Arduino and monitoring for state changes. Keith's response was because there is a good chance that an existing Acorn PLC pro...

Re: Yaskawa GA800 / GA700 inverter and Oak board

The Centroid control can control the orient of the spindle electrically if it is running as a C axis with a regular servo drive connected. It cannot orient the spindle electrically if run as a regular spindle motor controlled with the spindle output. However, you can mechanically orient the spindle ...

Re: M-15 Training in Minnesota (RESOLVED)

I would suggest against a flood coolant system on a knee mill. It will make a mess. I suggest mist or MQL, (Minimum Quantity Lubrication) system. I second Marty's sentiments here and suggest you look at Fog Buster spray systems. I have them on two mill and two lathes and couldn't be happier with th...

Anything that acts like an inductor - contactor coils, transformers, fans; basically anything with a coil of wire in it.
