Re: Invalid value, mfunc6.mac, line 158

I'm not sure if I'm following the flow of the macro exactly, but I don't see that those user variables are being set anywhere. There's a description of each, but no assignment later on. There's a branch off to the "tt_check_configuration.cnc" file that checks the parameter values, but I do...

Re: Invalid value, mfunc6.mac, line 158

Perhaps someone that has a rack mount tool change setup will reply, but just a quick look at line 158 (also 157 according to your log file) in mfunc6.mac, reference the value for which input to look for during probing, and the slow or fast probing feed rates. I see that user variable #105 (P11 or P4...

Re: Motor torque…..do I need more?

Just for comparison sake, I run NEMA23 439 oz-in closed loop motors on a 4' x 8' rack and pinion machine, with 5:1 planetary gearboxes and 24t pinions. I have plenty of torque to cut anything at a reasonable/recommended feed rate and the max rate is set at 1200ipm. The only time I've faulted the dri...

Re: Spindle on Light

Both in the same folder as the M3 (spin_cw) button, or the spindle_start button.

Re: Spindle on Light

Had a play with this using the spin_cw button and it works as well. I made an on and off image using the spin_cw button as a template, just changing the colors of the circle arrow and M3 for "on". <vcp_button> <skin_event_num>7</skin_event_num> <plc_output> <number>5</number> <image_on>spi...

Re: Spindle on Light

The spin_cw and spin_ccw buttons LED's are a on/off toggle between M3 and M4, not a spindle on/off indication. You could edit the .xml for the M3 (spin_cw) button to have the LED to be tied to the SpinFWD output, or you could add a LED to the green spin_start button. You could also make the button c...

Re: Upgrade to V5 and new computer

VCP skin is controlled by the "acorn_router_vcp_skin.vcp" or "acorn_router_vcp_diagonal_skin.vcp" file in C:\cncm\resources\vcp\skins. Don't copy your old one over, just compare it with the new one that you want to use (diagonal or not) and edit the new one with your custom butto...

Yes, along with mfunc58 and a custom mfunc6 that is used for toolchanges. There's a button for it also, the M58 button folder.

Re: Upgrade to V5 and new computer

Were you using the "Probe App" from Swissi? If so, you need to copy it over from your previous install, which you should have just renamed and still have available to access. mfunc58.mac needs to be copied over for it to work, and if you used it for toolchanges, the mfunc6.mac as well. In ...
