I think it is an issue with your WIN10 setup.

On several 4.80 installs I never have had this problem. PCs were always configured for CNC use.

Did you made a fresh install with Acorn 4.80, that means the old \cnc folder renamed or deleted and do not use restore report?

Sure this is no problem with simple PLC editing, but if 4 Inputs are used, I would use a 4bit 16 Detent Gray Encoder. This gives you 16 steps feed rate with 4 Inputs.

You also should move the vice from time to time, to get even wear of the slides over the whole length.

Most cheap asian machines need also scraping to get even play over the whole travel.

With CNC I use only 90° indexing 99° of the time.

Multifix was made for manual lathes to cur 30° chamfers ect.

With CNC you can use it with live tooling for boring at an angle or if you need tu turn 45° left side with DCMT...
