Re: Auto Square - Axis Homing Wizard
Just wanted to update this thread that my question is resolved, thanks to help from Eric Schimelpfenig! I modified a macro that Eric developed (was able to keep all of my prox sensors on separate inputs) and my machine does home correctly and autosquares as well. Thanks Eric!

Re: Auto Square - Axis Homing Wizard
Thanks for the explanations! X is axis 1, Y is axis 2, Z is axis 3. It does seem odd to me that autosquaring is only apparently designed to work with "HomeAll". I have Baumer NC proximity sensors. I believe they can be wired in series but I strongly prefer to keep each one on a discrete in...

Re: Auto Square - Axis Homing Wizard
Also, and I have no idea if this is related: After changing wizard settings to enable autosquare features, the wizard has not held the settings for the software travel limits. I re-entered them several times and committed the change. After turning off the autosquare function, the setting will hold f...

Auto Square - Axis Homing Wizard (Resolved)
Hi everyone, I am working at getting autosquare homing set up on my ShopBot. The X slave switch is set about 0.030 inches positive from the X master switch. (On Shopbot, the long axis is typically X). The wizard generated file homes the z and y correctly, then moves in the X positive direction inste...

I'll watch this too, because I recently ran into exactly the same question. Wasn't sure if there is a setting Aspire that I did not have turned on?

Re: How are you mounting the Ether1616 switch?
I hadn't sorted out how to mount it, I did not want to bring 115v into my control box for the wall wart. I have a larger meanwell than the stock Acorn unit that Gary provided in the control box, I am hoping I could power the Eth1616 and the ethernet switch from it as well, and not have another power...

Re: How are you mounting the Ether1616 switch?
Interesting. I will watch this thread. Based on the specs it looks like the meanwell power supply could power that switch just fine...I don't have 115v power in my control box, so wasn't sure how I was going to do this. But that would make a clean install! Is there any reason that wouldn't work? Ger...

Re: Milling a hole (conversational) and hole creeps
That's too consistent a problem to be missing steps, I would say...check the value for revolutions per inch on the X axis maybe? If you mark a location and move the x axis exactly 12 inches on the control, and measure the actual distance moved, do they agree? Edit: Probably ignore that, I did not ca...

Ok thanks, that makes sense.
