Re: Macro for Z axis part zero and TT1

Thanks Gary, I remember that now as I'm working on my custom m6 for my new ATC machine. Before my ATC I never had to worry about #150 so that why I forgot.

Re: What's everyone using as CAM / post processor?

It used to be 100% free years ago and then they started charging for various upgrades/features. I understand it's like crack cocaine, they give it away at first to hook you and then they slowly start ramping up the prices and you pay because you gotta have it now and can't function without it. :mrgr...

Re: Macro for Z axis part zero and TT1

Hi Richard, glad you were able to get this sorted out and working. Can you please attach the entire macro as a text file to this topic so others can see it? The code you added seems to reference parameter/variable #150 and it's not defined in the original macro you started with.

Please do us all a favor and keep all your PWM questions in your original topic so it can be searched for later and all relevant info will be in one place.

Re: Macro for tool auto-measure

Any of the tool touch off macros will work but we don’t know what type of machine you have. There are a few macros available on the forum for routers that you could just modify and make work with your tool touch off and a solenoid. They can work with a mill also. You’d have to modify the macro and a...

Re: Macro for Z axis part zero and TT1

If I recall none of those macros from Scott's first post use tool offsets or a G43 or a G49, they weren't written for machines with ATC's. Those are for manual or what I call semi-automatic tool changes.

Re: Gekco G540 & Closed-loop steppers (rebuild on my chucker lathe)

Bill, the G540 is an all in one solution, controller and stepper drives in one package. It can be wired to the Acorn but you cannot hook up closed loop steppers to it. It's an entry level, open loop system. In my opinion not the best solution for anything really. For about the same money you can ge...

Re: Electrical Enclosure Size?

There is no set cabinet size. No two drives, power supplies and controls are the same size. Gather all your components up and place them on a table the way you want them in the enclosure with plenty of room for wiring duct, equipment spacing and some wiggle room. Then simply measure the perimeter of...

I would have thought that was the obvious answer. Swap the cables.
