Re: AllInOne Overheating? Oscillating

Changed the parameters and the whole machine seems 'smoother' - that's a feeling, like after you've had a few Bourbon... Been cutting lots of 4140. Spindle VFD fried - I think. Not sure what happened. I have been milling pretty heavy parts, but yesterday I changed tools and then the spindle would no...

Re: AllInOne Overheating? Oscillating

Attached are the motor labels. The DC circuit is a full bridge fed by 120vac = ~170VDC. I did add a negative temperature coefficient thermistor 2R025 in series. I'm surprised by the recommendations you guys made, but I will follow them; I know you are the experts. I will explain. I've logged hundred...

AllInOne Overheating? Oscillating

I have a Lagunmatic 250 10HP vertical knee-mill with AllInOne controller. It's been a great machine in my garage and I have machined more than 500 parts without issues. However, today there were two curious events. I had been running a series of programs (five tool changes) to build 100 parts. Each ...

Re: AllInOneDC Power On Behavior

No, I don't think so. I will test that tomorrow.

I knew there must have been an easy way...

AllInOneDC Power On Behavior

Hi, I'm very happy with my Lagunmatic 250 milling machine with AllInOneDC retrofit. I recently eliminated my phase generator and replaced the reversing contactors with VFD's. Everything is working nicely on 240V single phase and I have been making money. I have one leftover issue. Once in a while I ...

Re: 411 Full power without motion

I need 180Vdc, 29in-lb. Found one on eBay. I'll chime in next week after I have received it.

Re: 411 Full power without motion

X and Z are the same motors. They do not exhibit the cogging effect.

My AllInOneDC was fried. I cannot run commands. I do not want to connect this motor back onto the machine for fear that it will fry my drivers again.

Re: 411 Full power without motion

Aamir, I’m not quite sure I understand what you are describing. The cogging effect I see is with power off and the red and black leads are open (not connected). If I put 12v on the red and black the motor seems to run fine - just like the other two. Are you describing a short or open circuit in one ...

Re: 411 Full power without motion

Centroid repaired my AllInOne-DC - yea! I'm starting a fresh install on my Lagunmatic 250. First step is to follow the bench test setup. I changed out the bearings in my Y-axis DC Motor (MTE-4070 with 1000L encoder), but it still 'coggs'. My concern is that the drive will never be able to hold the s...

Re: AllInOne-DC to Mitsubishi MR-J2S Servo drive

I have an AllInOne-DC so I will not consider using the Mitshubishi AC servo drive to replace my failing DC brushed motor. I will find another MTE-4070. Not considering Oak or Acorn. The input to the Mitshubishi servo drive is configurable. Could be quadrature, could also be step&direction. There...
